Our client is a renowned engineering training organisation offering high quality training services, they are a market leader in their sector and have a wide portfolio of commercial short courses.

An excellent opportunity exists for Head of Engineering to join the senior team, who would manage and lead a team of tutors and assessors to deliver high quality engineering training programmes, specifically apprenticeships, working for this private training provider.

The successful applicant will be responsible for the delivery of high quality apprenticeships to young people and adults.

The successful post-holder will be required to lead from the front in the delivery of Work Based Learning, liaising with their Team, Employers, Clients, other Stakeholders and Awarding Bodies.

Applicants should be occupationally qualified and able to demonstrate in depth knowledge of Work Based Learning Programmes, SFA and Awarding Body databases and associated processes.

Key Requirements

  • Hold an Engineering qualification alongside teaching/assessing

qualifications and experience in delivery

  • Excellent Management Skills and proven ability to achieve objectives

and manage tutors/assessors

  • Understanding the Work Based Learning framework and the ability to

manage a curriculum

  • Experience in successfully developing partnerships and employer relationships
