My client, a highly reputable house builder specialising in new homes throughout the South Coast, need an outstanding Land & Planning Manager to join their land & planning department.
Reporting to the Managing Director, the successful applicant will become an integral part of this successful planning team and will have the support of a Planning & Technical Assistant.
This position requires a minimum of two years practical experience coupled with a strong understanding of the planning system.

Day to day duties
The Land & Planning manager will be responsible for overseeing a number of day to day tasks within the land & planning department. Some of the major responsibilities include the financial appraisal of development opportunities, appointing and managing architects and external consultants, negotiating fees, coordinating and attending public consultations, preparing and submitting planning applications, monitoring and managing the application and appeals process and developing and fostering working relationships with land agents to procure sites.
Ideally candidates should be educated to degree level in a discipline related to property development and planning, as well as being able to demonstrate hands-on planning experience with a house builder or in an alternative planning capacity.
The land & planning department is a tight group and you will easily fit into the team with a self-motivated and enthusiastic approach. It is expected that you will be computer literate and a confident user of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, Power-point, Access, while the ability to use AutoCad and other design software would be beneficial.
