We are looking for Landscape Architects with exceptional design, communication and team skills. The right candidate will get an opportunity to work on a broad and exciting range of projects with our established team in Bristol. We are interested in hearing from Landscape Architects who excel in the design and construction of contemporary landscape, capable of working individually and collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team. Candidates must also be accustomed to everyday use of Auto CAD and adobe suit software - In-design, Photoshop. Sketch up and Revit knowledge would be advantageous but training will be provided.


  • Overseeing the design of a variety of projects, including urban regeneration schemes, pedestrian schemes, road or retail schemes, and maintaining the character of sites of natural beauty
  • Establishing general landscape requirements with clients
  • Conducting preliminary studies of the site (including contours, soil, ecology, buildings, roads)
  • Assessing a site's potential to meet the client's specifications
  • Carrying out environmental impact assessments
  • Accurately preparing and presenting detailed plans and working drawings, including applications, construction details and specifications for the project
  • Presenting proposals to clients, dealing with enquiries and negotiating any amendments to final design
  • Contacting and coordinating manufacturers and suppliers;
  • Putting work out to tender, selecting a contractor and manager
  • Ensuring deadlines are met
  • Liaising with other professionals on the project;
  • Monitoring and checking work on-site
  • Authorising payment once work has been satisfactorily completed;
  • Attending public inquiries to give evidence if necessary
  • Generating new business opportunities.


  • Understanding individual clients' needs, developing design concepts in consultation with the client and establishing final briefs
  • Considering materials and costs according to set budgets and
  • Conducting feasibility studies for projects
  • Researching and gathering information and photographs relating to the project
  • Preparing detailed working drawings, designs, plans, models, visuals and schemes, often using computer-aided design (CAD) software
  • Site Surveying

  • Keeping up to date with new developments in the design industry
  • Horticultural knowledge
  • An appreciate of space and planting enabling you to develop a high quality landscape design
  • An ability to detail both standard hard and soft Landscape solutions
  • Experience of using computer aided design software and word processing
