The role:

  • To drive outstanding teaching, learning and assessment practices
  • To support and coach Learning and Development Coaches to deliver and achieve excellent teaching, learning and assessment to every learner, every time
  • To provide field support for the Learning and Development Coach that will show a marked improvement in their performance and support them to reach the hughest standard
  • To deliver outstanding quality improvement programmes for your operational region that supports the timely completion of each learner's journey

Key Tasks and Responsibilities of the Role

  • To plan and execute a Quality Improvement Plan, in agreement with the Regional Operational Manager that will lead to outstanding teaching, learning and assessment for every learner, every time
  • Provide outstanding field coaching, support and developmental feedback to drive colleagues to achieve and deliver excellence teaching, learning and assessment
  • Facilitate individual development plans for each Learning and Development Coach that will support them to achieve outstanding results
  • Monitor compliance against all aspects of the learner journey and drive continuous improvement
  • Timely completion of formative and summative verification
  • Analyse, monitor and report on trends for quality improvement and compliance in your region and use a solution-focussed approach to achieve outstanding results
  • Know what expected impact your actions will have on the learner's journey ? Work in collaboration with the Operational Manager to set challenging targets for raising the achievement of learners and the skills levels of the team members
  • Participate and carry out Learning Observations to ensure the opportunity for an outstanding learning experience for all company learners
  • Provide and lead training events that support outstanding delivery and meet the needs of your operational region
  • Maintain a quality assurance structure and take responsibility with others to achieve a service of the highest possible quality for all internal and external inspection
  • Manage and be responsible for effective internal and external verification and coordinate activities required to meet quality assurance requirements including outstanding standardisation activities which directly lead to improvements in delivery and practice
  • Work with the Operational Manager to actively ensure the timely achievement of all learners, each month, as well as managing the timely claims for certification, exemptions and full framework certification
  • Actively deliver, mentor and support new and current colleagues to become qualified within the timescales agreed by their manager
  • Provide unit upskilling to colleagues as and when it has been identified as a support need
  • Support and contribute to the Self-Assessment report as directed by your manager or other Senior Managers
  • Monitor the execution of the verification policy and ensure it is recorded and carried out to the highest standards while maintaining integrity and full compliance
  • Maintain confidentiality and communicate with internal and external agencies when necessary
  • Promote and safeguard the welfare of children and young people you are responsible for or come into contact with

Essential Criteria Required

  • An excellent understanding of the principles of quality improvement and a track record of taking actions that impact positively on learner's experience
  • A deep commitment to and understanding of Excellence in Learning
  • Excellent understanding of the quality assurance systems involved with Work Based Learning
  • Excellent vocational competency in your field
  • A commitment to and drive to achieve outstanding teaching, learning and assessment
  • Effective communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to work productively with initiative and drive output within timescales whilst maintaining attention to detail and continuous quality improvement
  • A track record of building relationships and success in developing others to achieve excellence
  • In depth knowledge of work based learning as well as the requirements of the frameworks and each qualification in your field
  • A commitment to personal professional development and that of others and the ability to support others to improve their practice
  • An attitude that matches the values of the organisation and a personal drive that will enable you to meet challenges in a positive and productive way ? Good knowledge of the requirements of an OFSTED inspection
  • Able to maintain confidentiality and the highest level of integrity
  • A high level of personal drive and the ability to meet challenges in a positive way
  • Ability to plan, organise an d prioritise own workload and flexibility to travel to meet the needs of the business
  • Actively contribute to the Centre's Safeguarding practice, procedures, culture and ethos

Essential Criteria Required

  • Appropriate level qualification relating to your vocational area (L3,4,5)
  • TAQA L4 or equivalent
  • AiET or equivalent
  • Level 2 English and maths
  • Clean driving licence and access to a car
