Our client is a leading private planning practice with two offices nationally. They have a reputation for providing expert advice and support to deliver successful outcomes for their clients, developed over their more than 30 year history. Their specialty lies within the commercial sector, and they have a large portfolio of business clients from major hotels, restaurant and coffee shop groups, breweries, banks, housing, retailers and property developers.
Due to recent success, our client is looking to grow to include an experienced Planner to complement their Buckinghamshire based team. You would be based in lovely offices which have been recently extended and refurbished, with private car parking, and in walking distance to the local village with all the amenities you may need. The office is located just outside the M25 and off the M40; a perfect location for those who wish to be near enough to the city while still being able to escape the concrete jungle.
The Role of Planning Consultant
This is a perfect opportunity for a for a private sector Town Planner who is looking for the opportunity to have clear career progression and development, with more responsibility, working for a company who value each of their employees as an individual. Or likewise, a Town Planner from a Local Authority background who is looking to make that sometimes difficult transition to the private sector.
You will be responsible for taking on a caseload with limited supervision. You will have the opportunity to gain invaluable commercial experience with hands on client interaction from the start.
**This is not a 'sit at your desk all day' type of job you will be out and about, attending meetings, going on site visits, etc. regularly each day will be a little different to the last**
You will be part of a close-knit, collaborative team and as such will be able to draw from the expertise of those more senior to you, as well as imparting your knowledge on those more junior, in a supportive and friendly environment.

- Experience and knowledge in the development management field
- 3-5 years professional experience
- Clean driving license and a car (or willing to get a car)
