Planning Consultation Manager
You will be to help deliver the necessary consents for major infrastructure project expansion by acting as the key Planning Team interface on our pre-application consultation, co-ordinating the Planning inputs into, and ensuring necessary planning validation of, the consultation strategy, consultation documentation and consultation reporting.
Primary Focus of the Role is to:
Working as part of a wider integrated team and working closely with the Legal Team, the role will include advising, supporting and coordinating the outputs of a number of expansion workstreams, including managing my clients advisors and consultants to ensure that Consultation deliverables and the DCO application consultation report are validated with the appropriate level of Planning input.
You will be working collaboratively across the project and throughout the principal stages of the DCO process to ensure that our approach to consultation benefits from an appropriate level of planning support. the planning requirements for the projects statutory and any non-statutory consultations are comprehensively scoped, communicated and delivered to specification and programme in accordance with the agreed strategy.
To manage and coordinate Planning Team input into the scoping, production, review and validation of consultation documentation, ensuring necessary integration between client and design teams in terms of delivering the appropriate level of document scope, detail and quality for both the consultation and submission stages of the DCO process.
Advice, support and assure the consultation document development process, ensuring that workstreams collaborative effectively throughout the process and that due process is understood, followed, appropriately recorded and reviewed.
Working closely with client/consultant teams to ensure a thorough and robust approach to consultation feedback analysis, review and reporting, providing appropriate Planning input and assurance of our response to consultation feedback.
Qualifications and Experience
Graduate and/or post graduate relevant planning qualification with strong interpersonal and presentation skills.
Strong understanding of pre-application documentation requirements, particularly related to statutory and non-statutory consultation, preferably through the DCO process.
Proven track record in helping to deliver infrastructure projects through the DCO process, although candidates with experience of similar major infrastructure consenting schemes, eg Hybrid Bills, will be considered.
Experience of working in multi-disciplinary teams
Strong inter-personal, negotiating, influencing and presentation skills
