Principal Ecologist- Belfast
My client is a well respected multidisciplinary consultancy based in Belfast. They need a Principal Ecologist to lead the ecological services at their Northern Ireland branch.
As a Principal Ecologist, your role will be to lead projects for internal and external clients. You will have good project management skills and be confident leading meetings and tendering proposals.
In addition, you will take a key role in mentoring the more junior ecologists.

Essential to the role is:
a good understanding of the wildlife of Northern Ireland, and the legislation that effects it.
The ability to prepare and critique EcIA Chapters and HRA assessments
Report writing and good communication with risk assessments and method statements being clearly understood by a range of stakeholders.
Full CIEEM membership and project management for a range of habitat surveys, including experience of bats and smooth newts.
