A large, mutli-disciplinary consultancy with offices worldwide are looking to grow their Geotechnical engineering capability in their Cardiff office. As such, they are seeking a Principal Consultant to head up the Team.
The successful candidate will come from an engineering background as opposed to a geology background, have experience of engineering design, and be versatile with a broad range of experience of working on large multi-disciplinary projects.
Experience of infrastructure projects such as roads, rail and water would be ideal, together with sound project management skills. Experience of, and a willingness to do business development would be a distinct advantage.
With a first and second degree, preferably both in an engineering discipline, the first degree in particular, you will be responsible for managing the Team and liaising with clients, conducting assessments on foundations, retaining walls and slope stability.
Experience in the use of design progams such as WALLAP, SlopeW, VSDIP and SLIDE is required and experience of using PLAXIS would be a real benefit.
Travel in the UK will be required so a valid driving license is essential.
