As a Principal Transport Planner, you will have over 7 years experience as well as good all round knowledge of all aspects of transport planning for developments from strategic appraisal through to transport assessments and traffic engineering, you will draw on your wealth of experience in the planning sector both public and private to lead and manage the preparation of all aspects of your work.
You will be joining a team engaged in all aspects of traffic and transportation planning including development of strategic transport schemes, funding bid preparation, transport assessments for new developments, master planning, urban regeneration and sustainable transport projects. This includes projects for a broad range of clients including Highways England, Transport for Greater Manchester, Public Sector organisations and private sector clients, you will also be given the opportunity to become involved in a wide variety of exciting transport planning projects.
As part of the transport team you will be working in a very busy, commercially focussed team which has an expanding workload and will be required to undertake a variety of tasks that are required in order that project delivery deadlines are met.
It is expected as a Principal Transport planner you will use your ability to deliver transport planning solutions, manage junior staff and successfully manage projects, as well as your excellent interpersonal and communication skills to liaise with other professionals including Local Authority Officers, Architects and Town Planners
You should have Sound technical experience, including familiarity with relevant software like; TRANSYT, LINSIG, ARCADY, PICADY, VISSIM, SATURN;
