ALLEN & YORK are delighted to be working with an international infrastructure developer. With decades of successful project development in Africa, South America and the Near East they are now establishing an EMENA base in London and are looking for a Chief Financial Officer

Our client is a full project lifecycle business from origination through the full finance, design & build phases and onwards to owner operator. Projects are self-financed often with international lenders and can top €1.5 billion.

This position offers a role within a diverse organisation on meaningful infrastructure projects to international standards. Furthermore joining at this time of expansion creates an exciting time for personal involvement in the establishment of the EMENA Group.

Responsibilities include:

· Preparing budget for the Office and sites

· Accounting and audit

· Day-to-day banking

· Establishing and keeping investor (lender) relations

· Raising financing for the Projects

· Project feasibility analysis

Background:

· Ideally 15 + years of experience in finance and accounting.

· Experience in raising limited - non/recourse finance for heavy infrastructure projects is a must. Project finance experience is required

· Understanding of project finance documents and EPC documents is key

· Familiarity with concession documents is an asset.

· A deep understanding of Microsoft Excel and financial model building

· Previous experience in multi jurisdiction accounting, tax and consolidation is required

· Understanding EPC work requirements and financial planning is an asset.

· A team builder, manager of people and willing to take on responsibilities of team and system building

· Ideally, being flexible and able to work in matrix structures.

· Track record in USD 1 billion + international projects, especially in PPP structures is an asset

NOTE

Accounting of London Office will be outsourced. Relevant applicants will need to have the required experience at Project Finance Director level possessing a good knowledge of IFRS and financial consolidation
