Purpose of the role

To manage the lifecycle of a Smart Metering projects and run its underlying processes for a successful project execution

Responsibilities

  • To define and list the project requirements and impact in order to get a clear view on the necessary resources and the project goals to be met. Both for internal as external resources
  • To check and validate the effort estimation to define the operational man day budget, which is a base for planning
  • Define work packages that will be executed by the team manager(s)
  • To setup and maintain the issue, risk and quality registers
  • To allocate available resources, taking into account the (fixed) project budget
  • To monitor the project progress, based on received reports
  • To evaluate the status and changes requested (scope, budget, timing…) and to adjust the work packages as needed so that the project meets the expectations of the customer and Honeywell
  • To support the entire project lifecycle by providing reports, carrying out analyses, coming up with improvements and by anticipating for the impact of certain decisions that could or have been taken
  • To proactively and timely report on and manage risks and their mitigations

Requirements

  • Master in Computer Sciences, Engineering or equivalent by experience
  • Proficient oral and written knowledge of English and optionally one or more foreign languages
  • Proven experience of running large software integration projects of programs in a multi-cultural environment
  • Skills to manage both issues and people and be able to adapt to a standard way of working
  • Experience or knowledge of agile software development, programming languages and system architectures
  • Proficient hands-on knowledge of standard software packages (MS Office suite, MS Project, Internet tools, Sharepoint, Atlassian)
  • Experience or knowledge of smart metering hardware and software is a plus
  • Experience with managing external partners or suppliers is a plus
  • Basic knowledge of financial management
  • Prince2 or PMBOK certification is a plus
