Senior Air Quality Consultant

Manchester, Birmingham

An independent consultancy are looking for an experienced Senior Air Quality Consultant to deliver services in the fields of aviation, buildings, energy, industry, infrastructure, maritime, mining, transport, urban and rural planning, and water.

I have an opportunity for a Senior Air Quality Consultant to join their Environmental teams based in the North West or Midlands. You will need to proactively contribute to their in-house technical work, ensuring that it is of the quality expected and required by their internal and external clients.

You will have a technical background in science or environmental science with a substantial experience of working within an environmental consultancy. You will be able to demonstrate experience in predictive dispersion modelling techniques and air quality assessment, with comprehensive knowledge of Air Quality legislation, guidance and practice.

The role requires a close working relationship with other air quality, noise, land quality, water and waste management specialists, and the provision of support and advice across the business. In particular, the role requires the Senior Consultant to be able to:

  • apply commercial and project management skills to ensure effective execution and delivery of air quality projects and the air quality elements of multi-disciplinary projects through planning and post-consent/delivery phases;
  • support the development of our air quality knowledge base within the UK and assist in the development of new clients in key strategic markets, especially the development sector, and the industrial and energy sectors; and
  • provide leadership and co-ordination in the production of tenders and proposals to new and existing clients.

You will be expected to undertake air quality work within the context of EIA/ESIA and Environmental Permitting as well as more standalone air quality projects. Project involvement typically includes renewables and waste to energy projects, flood alleviation schemes, mixed use development schemes, as well as industrial sites.

I look forward to receiving your application shortly or please call Zoe Payne on 01202 888 986 Ext 202.
