Our client is a large environmental solutions company, specialising in integrated waste and resource management.
They currently have a requirement for a Senior Bid Manager to join their growing London based team.
This person will manage the development and completion of tenders for both public and private sector bids for a range of waste and associated projects.
You will also organise and lead a "Project Team" and/or "Bid Team" to ensure all required information is made available, collated, and relevant and produced in such a manner that all the tender requirements are compliant with the Request for Proposal (RfP) / Invitation to Tender (ITT) Documents.
Key responsibilities will include reviewing the current Rfp/ITT documentation, schedules and scope of work and also structure, composition and responsibilities of the bid team as well as participating in tender reviews and ensuring that all relevant data is compiled and considered.
Candidates will have a responsibility for identifying business development opportunities through participation in educational opportunities, (waste industry events, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organisations).
Degree qualified with a strong knowledge and experience of the waste management field, it would be expected that candidates have experience in complex bid estimation and bid preparation, including operational and financial modelling and forecasting. Strong communication skills with the ability to influence and negotiate at a senior level will be required.
