Job Title: Senior Building Surveyor

Client Overview

We are looking for a highly motivated experienced Chartered Building Surveyor that is to join a fun, vibrant and expanding Building Surveying team, to work for a leading multi-disciplinary property & construction consultancy that delivers projects worldwide.

Due to an increased workload and planned expansion of the building surveying team our client requires an experienced commercial Senior Building Surveyor. The role will comprise a wide variety of building surveying work on a broad mixture of commercial and residential properties. A young and dynamic team with a strong social culture, and offer a clear pathway for career progression and support internal promotion and success. Ideally you will be seeking to develop your professional building surveying career and be MRICS qualified with a minimum 2-4 years PQE. The successful candidate will have a direct responsibility for assisting the building surveying Partner in growing the expanding workload from both existing and new clients.

Skills & Qualification

  • Chartered Building Surveyor (MRICS)
  • Minimum if 2-4 years post qualification experience
  • Proficient in AutoCAD
  • Good knowledge of all Microsoft Packages
  • Leadership
  • Full current Driving License

Candidates Duties/responsibilities

  • Leading dilapidations and technical due diligence instructions
  • Management of instructions and projects
  • Responsible for collating and writing reports
  • Management and mentoring of more junior team members
  • Contributing to team skill base developing efficient working practices
  • Client management and new client development

Experience & Knowledge

  • Dilapidations - for both tenants and landlords
  • Technical due diligence surveys
  • Defect diagnosis and planned maintenance schedules
  • Party wall and neighbourly advice
  • Building condition reports
  • Schedules of condition
  • Building reinstatement cost assessments
  • Advising owners and occupiers on maintenance and statutory responsibilities
  • Contract administration
