Excellent opportunity to work for a leading Civil Engineering and Rail Infrastructure company currently looking to hire an experienced and qualified Senior HSE Advisor to join their fast growing team based in Manchester – covering sites in the North West


The successful candidates must have experience of working on various civil infrastructure and rail engineering projects and hold the relevant. The successful candidate must hold the relevant rail qualifications and expertise (PTS/ LUL / Smartcard)  


Responsibilities will include:  

  • Organise and chair monthly health & safety minutes to senior members of staff and provide minutes and necessary actions.
  • Ensure health & safety procedures are implemented across all company projects.
  • Carrying out audits and inspections on site where required and ensure non-conformances are closed out.
  • Assist in Project set up, pre-planning of works and safe systems of work.
  • To implement and maintain group health & safety policies and ensure best practice codes are adhered to according to local standards and legislation.
  • Organise and chair monthly health & safety minutes to senior members of staff and provide minutes and necessary actions.
  • Produce monthly reports from the health & safety department with regards to company performance. 

Knowledge, Experience and qualifications required: 

  • 5 years minimum civil engineering, rail and construction experience within Health & Safety
  • Must have relevant industry experience as a Health & Safety professional within the Rail sector.
  • Will hold personal track safety / LUCAS / Smartcard / CTRL operators license as applicable to the scope of work and contract worked on
  • NEBOSH General or Construction Certification
  • Chartered Member of IOSH (ideally working towards CMIOSH)
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Adaptable team member
