We are seeking to appoint IT Application Support Engineer to join our IT division based across Lincoln and Warwick businesses, supporting our Industrial Engineering business.
We have a fantastic opportunity for an individual to work in a friendly team environment, where training will be given to the successful candidate. We are looking for someone who is punctual and reliable with excellent attention to detail.
You will required to scope, deliver and support IT solutions to assist the growing business as well as being a key component in the support of end-users in accordance with SLA's.
What are my responsibilities?
Provision of end user support for mobile devices such as mobile phones, tablets, engineering applications and standard operating system tasks
Collaboration with colleagues in the Global IT organisation
Delivery of Information Technology components to support local and global projects, as well as business as usual activities
Coordination of support contracts with in-house and third party suppliers
Resolution of faults according to defined SLAs
Maintenance of software levels and patches to business standards
To input into team discussion and to regularly bring new initiatives on board
Monitor and manage software portfolio according to defined polices
Manage and communicate information security policy
Support the IT Account Manager to capture and interpret business requirements for new IT services
Adhoc support for the IT Account Manager
What do you need to qualify for the job?
A Bachelor degree or above in an IT or IT related discipline
Understanding of Siemens IT standards
Experience of working in a large Global IT organisation
Willingness to travel
Knowledge of mobile technologies and applications
Good planning and execution skills for software upgrade/changes
Understanding of Windows as part of the applications environment
Good technical knowledge of Microsoft Products including MS Access
Experience of supporting End Users
Willingness to learn new skills
Excellent customer facing skills
Good analysis and structured development
