Position: Senior Quantity Surveyor
Location: Croydon, Head Office
Reporting to: Partner
The Residential Sector is a burgeoning department within a top 50 consultancy. There are a number of exciting clients we are currently working with, with leads coming from existing clientele, referrals from our extensive network and Business Development from our internal team. The majority of projects are based in London and the South East; however we do complete projects nationwide as per our client requirements.
Sector workload comprises of:
- Residential New Build Developments
- Residential Refurbishments - apartments and housing
- Mixed Use schemes with Residential as the anchor
- Student Accommodation
- High end / Prime Residential schemes
The Quantity Surveyor role within the Residential Sector is required to work as part of a team to help service our current clients, maintain these relationships and help develop our proposition to the market as we look to develop our presence within this sector. They will be expected to demonstrate first class technical, organisational and problem solving skills, as well as being able to offer a high standard of customer care. They will have a proven track record of being able to work independently, but also be a key team player.
- Assist in delivering a profitable fee income.
- Provision of sound advice to our clients.
- Production of appropriate information as required to our clients.
- Support to Senior Associate / Partners working within this sector.

The right surveyor for this team will have a good knowledge of the Private Residential sector, a competent cost planner, and a sound knowledge of the JCT suite of contracts. Excellent written and oral communication is essential, with a working knowledge of MS Office, with Cost X / CATO being a bonus. The individual will be a team player, enthusiastic with a track record of working with teams and managing projects by prioritising workloads, delivering to deadlines.
Member of the RICS / CIOB
Qualified to degree level or equivalent
