About the role
We are looking for an experienced project manager who will be responsible for bringing in European Horizon 2020 and other external funding to support research and innovation projects in our clients Research & Development department.
You will develop and maintain the Horizon 2020 strategy in line with wider business needs and manage the preparation and timely submission of the grant proposals.
This will include; day-to-day management of the proposal development process where you will be the subject matter expert on Horizon 2020 grant applications, support development of proposal by assembling information such as objectives/outcomes/deliverables, resourcing, organization credentials and post-project implementation/exploitation.
You will also be expected to act as coordinator on successful Horizon 2020 projects in which our client is the leading partner and engage with key stakeholders to ensure their strategy remains relevant to short and long term company objectives.
Finally, engagement with internal and external project partners during proposal preparation and coordination of internal and external partner activities on projects for the successful delivery of agreed project outputs to the EU.
You will have experience in the management and development of large and complex proposals that involve multiple international stakeholders including European partners and agencies.
You will have a strong background in project management and a good technical background of one or more of the following: potable water treatment; water distribution; sewerage networks; sewage treatment; catchment management; renewable energy.
You will be Qualified to degree level (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline and be working towards Full Membership of an appropriate professional body e.g. ICE, CIWEM, I Mech E, IET etc. Full UK Driving Licence is required.
