Sub Agent - Rail - Wimbledon

Our client is a Regional Civil Engineering Contractor with a turnover of £120m expected for this year. Working within a variety of sectors including; highways, rail infrastructure, airports, RC structures, water and environmental they are now developing their team with offices throughout the UK focussing heavily on rail infrastructure.

We are currently looking for a Sub Agent to join their depot in Wimbledon, to work for the Rail Infrastructure team covering the LUL, Network Rail and TFL rail contracts.

Position Description for Sub Agent - Rail - Wimbledon

As a Sub Agent in the Wimbledon depot you will be responsible for:

  • Controlling health, safety, quality & environmental activities
  • Delivery of works to program & budget
  • Site Supervision
  • Setting out
  • Site record keeping and paperwork
  • Writing WPP's & Task Briefings
  • Producing Method Statements & Risk Assessments
  • Pre-start site inspections
  • Planning (using Primavera P6), including road closures and possessions
  • Design Coordination
  • QA procedures
  • Providing plant & materials
  • Client liaison

Required experience of the Sub Agent - Rail - Wimbledon

As Sub Agent in the Wimbledon depot you will be:

  • Experienced with a solid history of working on various civil engineering projects within a rail environment
  • Educated to HND level in Civil Engineering (preferably)
  • Able to coordinate designs
  • Able to plan jobs using Primavera P6
  • An excellent communicator
  • A natural influencer, ensuring you get the most out of people working for you

You will have:

  • A strong background in Civil Engineering
  • A knowledge of the TFL Quality Assurance procedures
  • ICILU/ Lucas - Essential & must be up to date
  • PTS - Essential & must be up to date
  • LU Track Awareness - Essential & must be up to date
  • CSCS - Essential & must be up to date
  • 1st aid and SMSTS - Beneficial
