On behalf of our client, we are looking for a Technical (Engineering) Project Manager based in Reading to join a leading global provider of facilities and corporate real estate management.

Role Summary:

  • Responsible for management of technically complex projects using best practice standards/principles
  • Ability to build strong workable relationships with the FM team, clients, and stakeholders ensuring all elements of the team are integrated and focused to deliver the Project MACS services across the UK portfolio
  • Provide Cost Management
  • Ensure/undertake Risk and Value Management in accordance with the client's investment strategy, substantiating any recommended change to ensure the measures taken will protect achievement of goals
  • Ensure all contractual obligations are met to the client satisfaction
  • Undertake Task management of project delivery and the associated consultant teams
  • Strong proactive approach to Customer Service and capabilities to engage with all levels of client team
  • Working closely with the FM Team, delivering a seamless service to client occupants
  • Support, create and deliver Weekly/Monthly/Quarterly dashboard matrix reports
  • Use appropriate verification and change management techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule and costs
  • Assist and support the space planning activities updates for corporate real estate including Headcount & space management data
  • Ensure services are provided with a professional customer service focus responding to any requests for support
  • Proactively developing customer relationships
  • Act as the POC for all projects regarding the impact on the customers and their facilities
  • Ensure the customer is kept informed about the progress of their work requests at all times


Experience Required:

Essential

  • Strong proven experience of delivering internal fit out refurbishment projects within a blue chip organisation and/or within the technology sectors
  • Demonstrable background delivering technical focused and M&E focused projects
  • End to end delivery of projects in excess of £500,000
  • Strong inter-personal skills
  • Must be able to work on own initiative
  • Ability to motivate self and others
  • Strong decision maker
  • PC literate, MS Office suite
  • Experience in operating as part of a team
  • Excellent customer care skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills


Desirable

  • Engineering qualification
  • Construction professional, Bachelor's Degree in the construction built environment
  • Member of or working towards membership of a professional association e.g. (Construction, Mechanical, Electrical and/or Civil)
  • Prince 2 qualified
