Technical Manager - Transmission and Distribution (T&D)
Our client is an electrical installation company that can offer a full range of services; including cable pulling and installation, fibre, HV and EHV jointing, and associated civils works and all required testing.
They are currently working on major offshore projects carrying out power and fibre terminations and jointing and testing for the projects. When it comes to onshore, they we working on multiple different projects including a prestigious 400kV upgrade installation in the North.
Overall job purpose
There are three key components to this position: Technical Engineer, Document Control and HSEQ implementation and oversight; and Contract Management.
Technical Engineer: As Technical Engineer the key responsibilities will be to provide support to the PMO on technical and engineering related matter, assist with technical proposals and carry out R&D activities.
Document Control and HSEQ Implementation: The core responsibilities under document control are to implement and support processes relating to document control and management in conjunction with the HSEQ Coordinator. In addition to this there is a requirement to assist in setting up document templates and implement best practice across our portfolio of projects, land based and offshore. This will be undertaken working closely with the Business and Operations Managers and PMO to fully understand requirements and applications of both the business and projects/clients.
Contracts Management: The main purpose for appointing someone to assume responsibilities under Contracts Management is to provide support to the General Manager, PMO, Bids and Proposals Manager in negotiating and agreeing client contracts, using necessary resources and external legal and commercial advisors as required.
