CSR Executive

Job description

Allen & York are delighted to be working with an award winning and independently owned, provider of tinned seafood and oriental vegetables with an international supply chain as they look to recruit a Corporate Social Responsibility Executive to join their Team.

The business is in a very strong position having had consistent growth for a number of years, were the first to launch a Marine Stewardship Council product with a leading supermarket and they remain committed to sustainability and are incredibly proud of what they've achieved to date. But, there's always more to do, so working with the CSR Manager, you will ensure compliance with all ethical and sustainability legislation, conduct research to feed into policies and procedures, analyse data (both quantitative and qualitative) to effect change and guide the direction of travel and ensure that all practices meet ethical and sustainable standards.

Your environmental degree and ideally MSc in a relevant scientific discipline will be required, as will a year's experience in a work setting (this could be an industrial placement) so that you have a commercial appreciation of the business. In addition, you'll be enthusiastic, will ask questions and suggest solutions and be keen to learn and develop (you will get opportunities to take part in both internal and external training and development). Your communication skills (both written and spoken) will be excellent as you'll be conducting research, writing and updating policies and procedures and you'll have data analysis experience in the form of Excel.

The company operates a policy of working in the office four days a week (with Friday working from home) so you'll need to be within a commutable distance of Redhill. In return, you'll be joining a collaborative and passionate Team of professionals who are committed to working ethically and sustainably. A competitive salary and package is on offer, and the opportunity to build on these as you achieve certain milestones.

This is a fantastic opportunity for you to gain some valuable experience, working with suppliers and related industries, developing your stakeholder engagement skills both internally and externally and updating the company's Modern Slavery Act Statement. So, if you have an interest in working for an FMCG and the food sector and are ready for a challenging role in a supportive environment, I'd love to hear from you. Please send your CV to Katie at kpereira@allen-york.com.
