Senior and Consultant Ecologists
Hybrid- Cork, Dublin and Belfast, Ireland
This forward thinking, sustainable consultancy are looking for Senior and Consultant Ecologists, due to significant growth throughout Ireland. The successful candidates will be enthusiastic, ambitious and have a passion for their discipline. If you have over five years' experience then we would love to hear from you regarding a senior role, but we are also keen to hear from anyone with two years' experience due to multiple roles being available. Some projects require bat specialist, so particularly interested to hear from anyone with a bat licence or specialism. Other licences such as newt and badger also beneficial.
The role
You will be expected to.
- Have a good working knowledge of ecological species-specific survey techniques, legislation, and mitigation.
- Complete accurate field surveys and in addition, supervise more junior consultants for the senior role.
- Providing a voice for nature through excellent communication and accurate technical report writing skills
Requirements
The successful candidate will be passionate about ecology and could be looking for a new challenge or a step up. There may be the opportunity to specialise in an area of interest.
You will be expected to complete local field work and travel throughout Ireland when needed.
Additional experience:
- A post-graduate degree in an environment-related subject
- Consultant level - 2 years plus experience, 5 years' experience for the senior role
- CIEEM membership would be beneficial.
- A valid driver's license
