£competitive, Central London

Looking to join a growing team who specialise in analysis and modelling of electricity markets?

Working together with regulators, industry specialists and across government, our client is a leader in innovative modelling that drives great decision. Working across a diverse range of projects, this is a varied role whereby one day you could be working with leading UK energy organisations to drive their decision making and the next, assisting government on their energy policies and their impact.

The role

An experience professional in the Energy world, you'll understand and be able to model both the risks and opportunities associated with green investment. You'll be able to propose, present and deliver solutions to complex Energy problems from concept (bids/tenders) to completion.

You'll be able to exhibit a real understanding of the UK electricity market and the effects of energy market developments for modelling and analysis. A leader in your field, you'll also be adept at managing junior members of the team in order for them to succeed.

Requirements

An experienced UK energy market analytics professional, you'll have a 2:1 degree or equivalent in mathematics, statistics, engineering, computing, economics or similar. You'll also have demonstrable experience of mathematical modelling and electricity dispatch models. Analytical in mindset, you'll want to apply your well-honed quantitative skills, creativity and initiative to solve your clients' real-world challenges.

You'll need to be organised and a strong communicator, both orally and in writing, with good presentation skills with the ability to be able to simplify sometimes complex issues for a broad range of audiences.
