Job description
We are seeking an experienced Head of Operations to provide strategic leadership at a major recycling and reuse centre in West London. This senior role oversees around 40 staff, contractors, and managers, with responsibility for a £4 million budget and operational integration into a wider £52 million service.
The postholder will be accountable for site safety, compliance, financial management, and service performance, acting as the senior lead on operations and regulatory engagement. You will manage operational managers, drive efficiency and innovation, and lead change programmes, including digital transformation, sustainability initiatives, and circular economy pilots.
The ideal candidate will bring proven experience managing large, complex operational sites with significant budgets, alongside strong knowledge of health, safety, and environmental compliance. Exceptional leadership, stakeholder engagement, and financial management skills are essential.
It is expected that candidates will have relevant qualifications for this position including WAMITAB, NEBOSH Diploma as well as a strong project management skills and qualifications. Membership of CIWM would be ideal as well.
