Job description

We are looking for a Hydrology/Hydraulic Expert for a 24-month full-time position in Oman.

Technical Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineer or equivalent and a Master's degree or higher qualification in hydrology, or a related discipline.

All degrees must be from internationally-recognized and long-established institutions that have a good track record in environmental science or water-related disciplines.

Experience

At least 20 years relevant experience in hydrological analysis/investigation and flood risk analysis and flood control and evaluation works, of which at least 5 years should have been spent in arid zones (Oman or similar Areas). The experience should include the following:

- Wadi hydrology and Hydraulic.

- Flood risk analysis and evaluation. Flood Mapping.

- Flood risk control.

Evidence of work experience involving long periods in remote field locations under harsh conditions would be advantageous.
