Senior Landscape Planners
A great opportunity has arisen for a Senior Landscape Planners to join and support the growth of the Landscape Architecture team. You will join one of the largest and most diverse landscape practices. You will be involved in a range of regional and global major projects, including exemplar regeneration, energy transition and infrastructure schemes. Working on projects from Nationally Significant Infrastructure Projects to local scale, offers the opportunity to work in multi-disciplinary teams, influencing design from an early stage to create a landscape legacy, while supporting progress towards net zero and delivering wider environmental and social benefits.
Ideally you will have a wide range of experience and demonstratable expertise in landscape planning and assessment, particularly energy transition (wind, solar, hydrogen, nuclear, storage and grid connections), residential and defence. Experience with preparing LVIAs and TVIAs and evidence-base documents in accordance with best practice. Job Responsibilities:
Applicants should be able to demonstrate an appropriate level of technical expertise in order to be able to carry out the following job/project accountabilities:
- Undertake site survey and analysis in the field, seeking and using innovative processes to deliver successful outcomes.
- Produce and/or oversee the production of reports, drawings and other technical documentation using appropriate software, with the necessary level of detail as required at various stages of development from strategies to mitigation design.
- Communicate clearly, including the ability to author concise technical reports and to contribute to conference calls, meetings, and workshops.
- Technical ability, knowledge, and competence to provide guidance to teach, develop and manage junior staff, including as a Chartership mentor.
- Understanding to work collaboratively and iteratively with other technical disciplines within a multi-disciplinary design team to enhance project delivery.
- Assist leads to undertake project management responsibilities, including financial and programme management.
Minimum Requirements
- Technically competent in preparing LVIAs and TVIAs and evidence-base documents in accordance with best practice.
- Knowledge and understanding of the UK planning system with respect to landscape architecture.
- An understanding of project management, including financial control and reporting and programme management.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Competent in the use of AutoCAD and Adobe Creative Cloud software (preferred).
- Experience of some or all the following useful: ArcGIS, AutoCAD Civils 3D, Revit, LSS or ProjectWise.
Qualifications
- Landscape Institute accredited Bachelor's degree, Diploma and/or Master's degree in Landscape Architecture.
- Chartered Member of the Landscape Institute (CMLI).
- UK Driving license for remote site visits
