Senior / Principal Engineering Geologist
Westhill, Watford, London
Are you an experienced Engineering Geologist, with experience working in a multi-disciplinary environment, looking for a great new role?
We're looking for practical and dedicated 'all-rounder' to manage an already established geotechnical and environmental team and be responsible for the continued development of more junior staff, client base and help to manage geo-environmental workload across the south. The role
You'll have strong project management experience, able to lead technical project teams, robust technical abilities and a strong sense of customer service and business development. As an experienced engineering geologist, you will have experience in a range of sectors, including road and rail, industrial, residential, commercial and leisure developments, providing robust, technically sound and cost effective solutions to Clients throughout.
Requirements
You will be expected to undertake scoping and reviewing preliminary Risk Assessments and Intrusive Ground Investigations. Also, understand contaminated land legislation and planning regime to provide consideration of geo-environmental ground investigation scoping and generic risk assessment within wider combined site assessments, with the support of geo-environmental specialist staff.
A thorough understanding in the assessment and detailed design of slope stability, foundations, earthworks, soil & rock engineering, ground improvement, ground movement and settlement/ subsidence, mineral workings and natural cavities and finally, basement engineering will all be required for the role.
