Location: Stoke on Trent
Reports to: RSD Manager
Hours: 40 per week
Salary: £27,300

About the Role
Seeking an RSD Team Leader to join Stoke-on-Trent operations. You will lead a team of 2-3 personnel, actively participating in the unloading, inspection preparation, segregation, and storage of palletised incoming waste materials. You will ensure compliance with internal procedures, safety standards, and environmental regulations.
Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, support, and motivate a team of 2-3 RSD operatives to meet performance KPIs.
  • Organise and delegate daily tasks to optimise efficiency and ensure safe operations.
  • Liaise with internal teams to coordinate material movements and site resources.
  • Oversee and perform unloading, weighing, segregation, and storage of waste.
  • Ensure waste materials are compliant with HSG 71 and environmental permits.
  • Complete administrative tasks, inspections, and equipment checks (e.g. FLT, PUWER).
  • Operate FLT machinery safely in accordance with company P.A.S.S policy.
  • Load outgoing vehicles and manage vehicle movements when trained as a banksman.
  • Promote and maintain a strong health and safety culture by reporting near misses and addressing hazards.
  • Perform additional duties as required by management.

Essential Qualifications & Experience

  • Valid FLT Counterbalance Licence.
  • Willingness to work outdoors in hazardous chemical environments.
  • Strong organisational, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Prior experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential.
