Solar (O&M) Field Engineer

Job description

Solar O&M Field Engineer
📍 Nationwide | Hybrid / Remote | Full-Time | Permanent

Are you passionate about renewable energy and ready to make a real impact? A leading player in the UK solar sector is seeking a Solar Operations & Maintenance (O&M) Field Engineer to help drive the performance and reliability of solar systems across the country. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a forward-thinking business at the forefront of clean energy.

The role:
You'll take the lead on maintaining and optimising both commercial and domestic solar installations. From fault-finding and repairs to preventive maintenance and performance monitoring, you'll ensure solar systems are running at peak efficiency. With nationwide travel and occasional overnight stays, no two days will be the same - and you'll enjoy the flexibility of managing your own diary while delivering top-quality service to customers.

What we're looking for:
We're after someone with proven experience in solar operations and maintenance, ideally with both commercial and domestic systems. An electrical background, excellent fault-finding skills, and the confidence to work independently are key. If you're a problem-solver who enjoys variety and thrives on delivering results, this could be the perfect role for you.

What's on offer:

  • A competitive salary and benefits package

  • Company vehicle, tools, PPE, mobile phone - everything you need to succeed

  • The chance to work with cutting-edge technology and contribute to the UK's clean energy transition

  • Opportunities for professional growth as part of a dynamic and supportive team
