Sustainability Advisor

Allen & York are excited to be partnering with a leading Home Development Construction company as they look for a Sustainability Advisor to join their team based in Leatherhead.
With over 700 direct employees and 16 sites, many of which are large-scale regeneration projects, our client places Sustainability at the heart of everything they do. With a new, ambitious sustainability strategy just launched, they plan to expand their team and recruit confident, ambitious sustainability & environmental professionals to help them reduce impact, drive efficiencies, become zero waste, improve biodiversity and many more.
What does the role involve?
  • Working alongside multiple teams to deliver the Corporate Sustainability Strategy
  • Being a key point of contact for the Southern Counties East division (Kent & West Sussex)
  • Focus on not only environmental issues but also social and economic impacts of development activities
  • Ensuring compliance, standards and monitoring targets, delivering training
  • Will include frequent travel eg site visits (car allowance provided)
  • Access to large network of Sustainability Advisors and Managers across the Group
Who is the ideal candidate?
  • 2-3 years experience in an environmental or sustainability role within a construction, manufacturing, mining or similar industry (built environment)
  • Knowledge and familiarity with environmental management principles (eg ISO 14001)
  • Hold a degree in a relevant subject
  • Have a full UK driving licence
  • Full, unrestricted Right to Work in the UK
