Allen & York are excited to be working with one of the UK's leading travel tour operators as they look for a Sustainability Programme Coordinator to join their newly established sustainability team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with project management experience to work within the sustainability space.
Through programme and project management, you will support the Sustainability Manager with the development and delivery of the sustainability strategy. Your responsibilities will be varied but will include creating and managing programmes of work, communicating with internal and external stakeholders, handling project activities related to supply chains, and measuring progress against key metrics. Given the nature of the role, your organisation, time management, and communication skills will be excellent, and your proven project and programme management experience is vital. Project management certifications (e.g. Prince2, PMP) would be beneficial, and you should be passionate about one or more areas of sustainability.
This is a new and evolving role in the business, so you will have the opportunity to take ownership as accountabilities are refined and added to. Therefore, you will have a strong initiative, be proactive, and have an innovative mindset. You will be fully supported by the wider team in a collaborative, encouraging, and energetic environment, so this is an excellent opportunity for you to grow and enhance your skills and experience.
Based in the South East of England, near Gatwick Airport, you will be required to work on a hybrid model, roughly two days a week in the office (though initially, it would be beneficial to be in the office more frequently).
