Sustainable Aviation Manager (12-Month FTC)
Location: South East (Airport-based, with some hybrid working)

A leading UK airport is seeking a Sustainable Aviation Manager to play a key role in driving its journey towards Net Zero by 2040. This is an exciting opportunity to lead high profile projects at the forefront of aviation decarbonisation, working on initiatives such as sustainable aviation fuels, hydrogen, electrification, carbon removals, and air quality management.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the delivery of sustainable aviation and future of flight projects (SAF, hydrogen, electric).
Drive stakeholder engagement to influence and embed sustainability across operations.
Manage air quality monitoring programmes and support development of air quality strategies.
Provide expertise on carbon removals, offsetting, and evolving sustainability regulations.
Oversee research partnerships with universities and industry groups.
Represent the business in industry forums, government consultations, and sustainability committees.
About You:
Degree-qualified (or equivalent) in environmental or sustainability studies.
5+ years' experience in sustainability or environmental management.
Strong understanding of sustainable aviation, net zero, and wider environmental policy.
Skilled at influencing and engaging stakeholders across business and government.
Excellent project management, organisational, and communication skills.
