Job Title: SQL Database & UI Developer - Temporary Position
Location: Nottingham, UK (Remote work possible with occasional office visits)
Contract Duration: 2-4 months



About The client:
Our client is a leading engineering company based in Nottingham, UK, specializing in waste-to-energy solutions with a primary focus on hydrogen conversion and utilization. They are committed to driving innovative solutions that contribute to a sustainable energy future.



Position Overview:
They are seeking a skilled and dynamic programmer to assist in extracting data from a SQL databases and developing a live user interface (UI) for monitoring. The ideal candidate should be proficient in programming, database management, and UI development, and should be capable of delivering efficient, user-friendly solutions to cater to their technical needs.



Key Responsibilities:

  1. Interact with engineering team to understand specific data needs and requirements.
  2. Extract and manage data from SQL databases effectively.
  3. Design and develop a live UI for real-time data monitoring, ensuring the interface is user-friendly and provides relevant insights.
  4. Ensure data security and integrity while transferring or displaying data.
  5. Test the developed UI for performance and rectify any bugs or issues.
  6. Document the development process, including code commenting, for future reference and continuity.
  7. Work closely with the team for the integration of the UI with existing systems.


Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  2. Proven experience with SQL databases, including data extraction and management.
  3. Strong programming skills in a language suitable for developing the required UI (e.g., JavaScript, Python, C#, etc.).
  4. Experience with UI/UX design and development.
  5. Good understanding of data security protocols.
  6. Ability to work both independently and in a team setting.
  7. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  8. Good communication skills.


Preferred:
Candidates local to Nottingham, UK.
Previous experience in the energy or engineering sectors.



Additional Notes:
While remote work is possible, candidates should be available to come into the Nottingham office for occasional meetings and discussions. The frequency and need for these in-office interactions will be determined as per the project requirements.
