Allen and York have been engaged by a nationwide accreditation organisation as they look to recruit an Accreditation Specialist to join their growing business. With their Head Office in the South East of England, this senior role is one that can be conducted remotely but if you are based in the South East that would be advantageous as you will be required to travel to the offices from time to time.
You will add value by providing specialist input and management across the business and for being the face of the business at conferences and events. As such, it goes without saying you'll have extensive experience working in the accreditation and certification sector, in a managerial role and you'll have a number of direct and indirect reports.
You will sit at the strategic level, offering your input into the direction of the business and ensuring that the processes and procedures are adequate and constantly improving. It's likely that you'll have some specific sector experience but the broader the better as the organisation covers a huge range of different sectors from agriculture to pharmaceutical. There will also be an opportunity for you to manage new areas or schemes of accreditation so experience of having done this before will be beneficial.
You will play a leading role in identifying, recruiting and managing Assessment Managers and Assessors And offering appropriate training to Assessment Managers.
You will have previous experience in a certification focused role, an in-depth knowledge of ISO14001, ISO9001 and ISO45001 in addition to ISO17065 and ISO17024 and ideally experience of a range of other certification schemes that would come from working in an environmental role.
