Business Development Associate
Our Client, a cleantech scale-up, has a mission to enable the transition to a zero-carbon future, powered by their award-winning solar technologies.
They are seeking exceptional candidates with experience in sales/business development to support our growth, undertaking business development activity as we scale-up the business. The successful candidate will be identifying and engaging a mix of corporate end-users and channel partners to originate new projects utilising our technologies around the world.
What the job involves
- Contributing to the strategic direction of Our client and in particular their go-to-market strategy
- Research into companies and buyers, understand their drivers and identify business opportunities
- Develop new projects in the UK and globally, engaging a wide client base through targeted out-bound prospecting
- Represent the client in client meetings, conferences and trade shows
- Progress clients through the project development pipeline from initial meeting to close, demonstrating attention to detail and a focus on client objectives and experience
- Work with marketing, analyst and technical teams to define customer segments, develop target lists and run business development campaigns
Their expectations are that you will have most of the following
- Relevant degree and/or masters
- Proven business development and sales skills with a track record in meeting and exceeding sales targets
- Experience of sustainable energy is desirable, ideally within the built environment
- A track record of developing effective relationships and working with multiple stakeholders
- Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels
- Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close
- Entrepreneurial and action oriented, with a strong drive for results
- Critical thinking and decision-making skills with an ability to challenge the status quo
- Passionate about working towards a sustainable future and tackling climate change
