Job description
The company is one of the oldest independent service providers in the solar industry with over a year in the wind industry as well. Over the last 10 years the company has developed a software platform targeting the global market, with focus on the UK, EU and North America.
You will be asked to work closely with the CEO, Product Manager and other engineers in order to (i) generate new leads, (ii) generate offers and (iii) nurture these leads until final closing.
As a Business Development Manager, you will be asked to work from home and eventually travel frequently for meetings. You will be asked to participate in conferences and other networking events to represent the company and promote the software business.
Required Experience:
3+ years Solar PV O&M and Asset Management Experience on Utility Scale Solar
Solid understanding of software
Excellent understanding of customer's needs and challenges
Good network in the solar industry is important
Experience in sales and generally contact with clients will be appreciated
Duties and Responsibilities:
Contacting potential clients to establish rapport and arrange meetings
Contributing in planning of new marketing activities
Researching organizations and individuals to find new opportunities
Increasing the value of current customers while attracting new ones
Preparation and execution of BD strategy in the UK, EU and North America
Attending conferences, meetings, and industry events
Developing quotes and proposals for clients
Collecting market and competitor information and proposing product enhancements, benchmarking against competition
Frequent collaboration with marketing as well as Product Manager and/or other IT senior personnel
Presentations and demos to the prospects and reporting internally on prospect's profile, needs and proposal of strategy
