Job description
Allen & York are excited to be working with a unique organisation as they look to grow their Climate Change Team in response to growing international pressure to curb the impact of human activities, working on projects in emerging nations in particular.
My client invests in Africa and Asia predominantly, in sustainable projects spanning various sectors, from construction to education to agriculture, implementing their unique entrepreneurial approach to investing which has seen them become incredibly successful.
As part of their corporate and climate change strategy, they have laid out an ambitious agenda for how their investments contribute towards climate adaptation and resilience and part of your role will be to work with internal teams to understand this and how to shape investment opportunities in line with Paris Agreement. Your experience of climate finance and private sector investment will stand you in good stead, as will your ability to see things from a range of perspectives and negotiate with multiple partners. You'll be adept at solving problems, will have strong analytical skills and will have a good understanding of the financial risk of climate change. If you have experience of working in developing countries, that will be a distinct advantage, but it's not essential.
You will bring passion, resilience, the ability to multitask and a desire to drive forward ideas and be a quick learner and adaptable.
Based in their London offices (there is a possibility to work from one of their global hubs but London is the preferred option as it's where the relatively small Team are all based). Operating a hybrid model with a set day a week for a Team Meeting and catch up, you will have the flexibility to work from both the office and at home to suit.
So, if this role excites you and you'd like to work for an impact, value driven organisation with a rich history, call Katie on 01202 888986 ext 207.
