Location: Birmingham (50/ 50 Hybrid working)

Are you an experienced auditor or quality professional with deep knowledge of IATF standards and certification schemes? Are you looking for a role that combines governance, strategic oversight, and technical leadership in the automotive manufacturing sector?

We are seeking an IATF Certification Body Manager to join a respected industry organisation responsible for ensuring the effective implementation of certification scheme rules and maintaining high standards of quality assurance across IATF-recognised certification bodies.

In this pivotal role, you will manage relationships with reporting certification bodies, lead office assessments and witness audits, and ensure compliance with certification requirements and governance processes. You'll play a key role in nonconformity and complaint management, trend analysis, and performance monitoring, while actively supporting technical working groups and wider industry initiatives.

This position offers a unique opportunity to operate at the heart of the automotive quality landscape, influencing best practices and helping shape the future of certification delivery in the sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and support IATF reporting certification bodies
  • Lead office assessments and conduct witness audits
  • Manage complaints, nonconformities, and appeals
  • Monitor and report on certification body performance
  • Coordinate quarterly certification body meetings
  • Contribute to IATF working groups and technical subcommittees
  • Engage in wider industry events and initiatives, including quality-related conferences

About You:

  • Solid experience as an auditor in the manufacturing sector
  • In-depth understanding of IATF 16949 and related scheme rules
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and senior-level relationship management
  • Proficiency in root cause analysis (8D methodology)
  • Excellent communication and public speaking skills
  • Motivated, organised, and adaptable with strong team ethos
  • Familiarity with Power BI and advanced IT skills advantageous
