Consultant-Defence Sector Environmental Management and Sustainability
£42500-£60000, Bristol, Warrington, Manchester, Gloucester, Burton upon Trent-UK
Are you an experienced Sustainability practitioner, with working knowledge of Environmental Management Systems, BREEAM and Scope1, 2 and 3?
We're looking for a Consultant-Defence Sector Environmental Management and Sustainability to embed sustainability, ensure effective environmental management and assure compliance across a wide range of defence programmes. If this sounds like you, read on!
The role
You will be responsible for-
- The development of Environmental Management Systems & Environmental Cases, in accordance with ISO14001 and/or MOD Project Oriented Environmental Management System (POEMS) and/or DefStan 00-051, for Acquisition Projects.
- Working knowledge of the Climate Impacts Risk Assessment Methodology (CIRAM).
- Working knowledge of Building Research Establishment Environmental Assessment Method (BREEAM).
- Carbon analytics (Scope 1, 2 & 3), Decarbonisation Strategy & Road mapping.
- Eco-design / Design for the Environment (DfE).
Requirements
Successful Applicants will have-
- Familiarity with environmental management systems, and environmental management techniques, within policy and legislative frameworks.
- Experience conducting numerical analysis, applying creative problem-solving skills, and presenting to senior executives, high ranking civil servants and industry leader.
- Effective collaboration, with experience of working as part of a dynamic team.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and an ability to influence effectively.
