Director - Client Relationships (Climate Transition)- London
This Director level position is uniquely placed to meet the economic, technological, and physical challenges posed by climate change.
As a Client Relationship Director, you will utilise advanced analytics, risk assessment capabilities, and your vast knowledge of the economic and financial impacts of climate change on the global economy.
You will be tasked with helping asset managers and institutional investors manage the financial impacts of a climate transition risk in their investment portfolios.
In order to be successful in this position as a Director you will be a strategic leader and member of Climate Transitions Analytics management team. You will be a highly experienced individual who will lead the business development team offering it's research, data, investment products, and analytical tools to asset managers and institutional investors globally.
You'll use your robust understanding of financial markets and the investment processes large institutional investors, as well as a keen interest to understand and communicate the complexities of climate risk and its financial impact. Day to day you will Interact with policymakers, private sector participants and other stakeholders on a regular basis to conduct joint analysis, communicate research findings effectively, and/or to ensure analysis undertaken is policy relevant.
Should you have an understanding of the economic consequences of a transition to a global low carbon economy, including experience with the UNFCCC climate negotiations, sustainability and climate indices, and Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) investing this would be highly desirable
As the successful candidate you will likely hold a degree in economics or professional financial qualification (e.g. ACA or CFA) any background or understanding of engineering would be a benefit to you as will experience in analysing, designing or complying with policy and market mechanisms in the energy or industrial sectors in Europe.
Ideally based in London this role will require some travel both national and international.
