EIA Team Manager
£42k- £47k, Winchester
Are you an Environmental Impact Assessment professional with experience leading and managing an EIA team, looking for a great new role that offers practical flexibility around family life?
We're looking for an EIA Team Manager, to lead on the production and delivery of EIAs and SEAs, as well as determine priorities, co-ordinate team and manage workloads to provide business continuity for clients and customers. If this sounds like you, read on!
The role
You'll be expected to;
Lead on the production of EIAs for proposed projects/developments
Lead on the delivery of other key environmental assessments such as Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA);
Determine priorities, co-ordinate team and manage workloads to provide business continuity for clients and customers,
Provide professional and technical advice to team to assist in deciding approaches/strategies to deliver targets and resolve issues whilst adhering to relevant regulations and legislation;
Lead and manage internal and external contracted projects/commissions
Support management priorities and provide resources for management and
Provide specialist advice to assist in the development and preparation of policies within strategies, development plans/frameworks and other initiatives relating to development and environmental issues;
Representation at appropriate public meetings, planning inquiries and appeals and other for a as required to provide specialist technical advice;
Requirements
You will have skills and experience in;
Previous relevant post graduate experience
Strong working knowledge of Environmental Impact Assessment/Strategic Environmental Assessment requirements, environmental regulation and legislation, and planning policies
Experience of managing EIA delivery across multi-disciplinary teams;
Proven project management skills and experience;
Experience of managing teams of professional staff to deliver required outcomes and outputs, including team members working remotely;
Ability to travel to meet requirements of the role;
