Fire Engineer

Job description

A leading international engineering and compliance consultancy is seeking an experienced UK Fire Engineer to join its London team. This is an opportunity to work with recognised industry specialists, delivering high-quality, practical fire engineering solutions across a varied and high-profile project portfolio.

The role involves providing comprehensive fire engineering services throughout the full project lifecycle, from concept design through construction to completion and operation. You will develop fire strategies, undertake fire engineering analysis including smoke modelling, radiation and structural assessments, and provide ongoing technical support to clients, design teams and approval bodies.

The position also includes contributing to proposals and tenders, attending project meetings, carrying out site visits where required, and producing clear, robust technical reports.

Applicants should hold a degree in Fire Engineering or a related engineering discipline, with demonstrable UK fire engineering experience and be working towards Chartered status. Strong analytical, communication and report-writing skills are essential, along with a client-focused approach and the ability to manage priorities effectively. Structural fire engineering experience would be advantageous.

In return, the company offers a competitive salary, generous holiday allowance with flexibility options, a strong pension contribution, performance-related bonus, flexible benefits, private healthcare options and structured career progression. You will have the opportunity to work on complex and challenging projects for high-profile clients within an award-winning organisation committed to professional excellence and employee wellbeing.
