Fire Safety Consultant

Job description

A growing fire safety consultancy is seeking an experienced Fire Safety Consultant to join its specialist team. This home-based role involves regular UK travel and offers the opportunity to work on varied and technically interesting premises, including complex and high-risk environments.

You'll be responsible for delivering high-quality, risk-based fire risk assessments, providing clear and pragmatic advice to clients, supporting quality assurance activity, and contributing to bespoke fire safety consultancy projects. The role also includes delivering fire safety training and supporting wider audit and commercial activities.

The successful candidate will have at least three years' experience undertaking fire risk assessments within a consultancy environment, including exposure to sleeping risk and fire engineered buildings. You'll hold relevant fire safety qualifications, maintain active CPD, and be a member of a recognised professional body with registration on a fire risk assessor register. Strong report writing skills, commercial awareness, and the ability to work independently are essential, along with a full UK driving licence.

In return, you'll join a supportive and well-established consultancy offering a competitive salary, excellent CPD, paid travel, and the chance to work on high-profile, meaningful projects nationwide.

About us: Allen & York have been matching purposeful people with purpose-led organisations for 30 years. Let's help build a better world, together.
