Flood Risk and Drainage Senior Consultant £36k-£40k

Our client has 30 years experience working in the Environmental Consultancy sector, working on Air quality, Noise, Flood risk and European Policy. They are a large team of highly qualified consultants working across the UK and Europe who have just become certified as a climate neutral company.

About the role;

Our client is looking to add a Flood risk and Drainage Consultant with 5-7 years' experience preparing FRAs and drainage strategies to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity to join a forward thinking solution focussed environmental consultancy with sustainability at its heart.

Skills and experience we are looking for;

  • Ability to recognise and communicate flooding and drainage related constraints and opportunities

at development sites.

  • Experience producing and reviewing a wide range of FRAs and drainage strategies.
  • Good knowledge and experience of MicroDrainage.
  • Good knowledge of the planning system, in particular flood related policy and guidance such as the NPPF and SuDS Manual.
  • Awareness of financial control and project management.
  • Good project management and communication skills in a client facing role.
  • Ability to write clear and concise reports.
  • Ability to supervise and motivate others.
  • Knowledge of Tuflow, Flood Modeller Pro, FEH or River restoration would be beneficial.
