Allen & York are proud to be working on this outstanding opportunity with a confidential client to assist in appointing their Group Director, Safety Excellence and Assurance. This client is a world leader in their field and they excel in providing innovative and technological solutions globally to their customers across a range of disciplines. This new position plays a pivotal role in providing strategic leadership globally with the aim of achieving world class standards in safety.
The organisation operates across a diverse working environment, which includes some high hazard environments as well as office and high security facilities globally with a team of direct and indirect reports.
This role will be to provide leadership of the Group Safety Strategy to take ownership and lead on delivering improvement and transformation within the operating framework. In addition, the role will review, create and lead on a group wide program to ensure consistency across all operating divisions as well as providing inspirational and pragmatic solutions and standards.
Key to success in this role will be the ability to take a holistic overview of a globally diverse organisation to provide inspirational and cultural change through an adaptive leadership style. Candidates should be able to demonstrate a track record of performance and technical excellence leading a group function of a globally disparate team, able to deliver cohesion and consistency.
It is expected that candidates will have operated on an international basis, be degree educated and have a track record of working across a diverse business in a group and senior management position. A Chartered Member of IOSH candidates will be able to demonstrate exceptional experience influencing and affecting change within a business in an effective and collaborative manner.
