Job description
Allen and York are excited to be working with a global engineering organisation as they look to recruit a Head of Product Regulatory Compliance. Reporting into the Head of Legal, who sits on the Board of Directors, this is a fantastic opportunity to engage directly at board level on issues that are integral to the success of the business.
The main focus of the role is to ensure compliance with product regulations and standards, specifically in relation to chemicals used in the manufacturing industry and you'll be required to have an extensive knowledge of global regional and local product regulations and standards. A large part of your role will be to work with the Executive Members to educate them on product compliance so you'll be a subject matter expert in this and be able to give clear strategic guidance on existing and, more importantly, future legislation and what impact this will have on the business. Your input and conclusions will guide the wider company strategy and you'll be the one to advise on what processes and procedures are needed and what systems need to be in place to mitigate any risk.
You'll be an expert with REACH, PFAS, TSCA and RoHS and, combined with your strong leadership and management skills and experience of working in a fast-paced multinational environment, where you're managing a number of projects simultaneously, you'll be well suited to this role.
Your communication skills - both verbal and written - will be excellent as you will be liaising with the business functions around the world to succinctly communicate the messages and ensure that the appropriate action is taken and guidance is implemented, so experience of having done this before will be essential.
Based at their head office near Cheltenham, they operate a hybrid working model, but given the amount of stakeholder engagement involved, it will be necessary for you to attend the office one to two days a week.
So, if you have the relevant technical experience and you'd like to find out more about working with this innovative, dynamic, global business and effect the direction and success of the organisation in the future, please contact Katie Pereira on kpereira@allen-york.com.
