Human Rights Lead - International Projects Group

Allen & York are excited to be working with one of the UK's largest and fastest growing environmental, health, safety and engineering consultancies, serving clients globally across the energy, property, manufacturing, public and transport sectors.
Our client is looking for a passionate Human Rights Lead to join their rapidly growing social team, leading on human rights deliverables.
The successful candidate will join a centre of expertise, working with diverse communities around the world, supporting clients to maintain social licence to operate and providing practical, solution-focussed social risk management advice.
You'll need to hold a first degree in a relevant discipline, such as Human Rights Law, Anthropology or Social Sciences. With extensive experience in a similar role, you'll be able to demonstrate your thorough understanding of social standards of the international financing institutions (e.g. IFC, EBRD, EIB) and international frameworks and legislation on human rights, including extensive EU and UN legislation. An excellent communicator, you'll have robust project management skills and the ability to develop and maintain strong client relationships.
Additional language skills, particularly French or Spanish would be advantageous to this role, as would experience in the energy sector (oil, gas, mining, and renewables).
