Net Zero Programme Manager

Job description

Allen & York are delighted to be working with a stable and growing global engineering company as they continue to invest in their Sustainability Team by recruiting a Net Zero Programme Manager to help drive forward their sustainability strategy by driving down energy usage.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a values driven organisation and be part of a really collaborative, close knit, structured Team of professionals and assume a role which has the potential to grow into a management role in the future.

In order to be considered for the position, you'll be knowledgeable and ideally have experience of working with energy management practices and low carbon technologies and understand how they can be applied in an industrial setting. In addition, you'll have an appreciation of the wider sustainability agenda within an organisation, having worked in a large business before. Your experience of the GHG Protocol and managing GHG reduction plans will be invaluable, and it's expected you'll have experience of not just Scope 1 and 2 emissions reporting, but an understanding of Scope 3 as this is an area you'll be involved with for a period of time.

As well as the technical competencies, you'll also have excellent and proven project management experience of delivering significant carbon and energy savings and sound stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to influence others.

Your experience of working in a complex global setting will be beneficial as you'll be liaising with manufacturing sites across LatAm, EMEA and APAC and it goes without saying that you'll be able to work flexibly.

Finally, you'll have strong data management experience and be analytical, which combined with your relevant first degree in either a sustainability or STEM discipline and membership of The Energy Institute or IEMA will ensure you tick the boxes.

Based in the South West, north of Bristol, you will be required to attend the office one to two days a week so you'll need to be able to access the site (good public transport links if not driving).

So, to find out more about this super opportunity, please contact Katie Pereira at kpereira@allen-york.com to find out more.
