Job Title: Principal Consultant - Environmental Permitting
Location: West Midlands
Sector: Environmental Consultancy
We are seeking an experienced Principal Consultant to take a leading role in environmental permitting projects, working across complex, multidisciplinary assignments. You'll provide technical expertise, oversee risk assessments, site inspections, and environmental monitoring, while managing teams and mentoring colleagues.
This senior position combines technical delivery with project management, strategic input, and client engagement. You'll also contribute to the growth and development of the department, including line management responsibilities, budget oversight, and business development.
What we're looking for:
Degree in a relevant subject (BSc or equivalent)
Chartered status (or equivalent) with a professional body
Strong background in permitting, waste/minerals, and environmental risk assessment
Proven leadership, project management, and financial control skills
